Color Change

While appearing almost black at birth within a few months their true color starts to show.
Irish Wolfhounds are social animals. We do not encourage anyone to adopt an Irish Wolfhound if it will be your only dog. I have seen them bond with dogs of all sizes but they are not loners.

OUR GOAL

To improve the breed by producing healthy dogs that perfectly fit in the AKC standards for the breed.

First Let's

Discover
Irish Wolfhounds are a large breed dog and therefore have some unique needs from their adoptive parents. Will he/she have an opportunity to socialize, run, rest? Do you have time to give them attention. Their nickname is "Attention Hounds."

Now let's WORK

Improve
It is only through careful, selective breeding that any breed is improved. With your help we can prevent dogs with health problems from breeding and breed only solid genetics, improving the breed.

IT'S UP TO US

Love
The bottom line is love when it comes to these dogs. Yes they can be show dogs,  working dogs or they can be protective but what they do best is give love without measure.
